UK Modern Slavery Act - Atradius Collections Statement

This statement is made in accordance with Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 (the“Act”) This statement sets out the steps that Atradius Collections has taken, and is continuing to take, to ensure that modern slavery or human trafficking is not taking place within our business, or our supply chain.

Introduction

Modern slavery can include slavery, servitude, human trafficking and forced labour, Atradius has a zero-tolerance approach to any form of modern slavery. We are committed to acting ethically and with integrity and transparency in all aspects of our business activities and to putting in place appropriate systems and controls to maintain our zerotolerance position.

About Atradius Collections

Our position as one of the world’s leading commercial debt collection firms is rooted in our commitment to understand and work alongside our customers and to tailor our services to
meet their needs and support them during any stage of their order to cash cycle.

Trade Association Membership

To help support our global presence and local knowledge, we are members of a range of specialist local and international professional debt collection trade associations throughout the world. In the United Kingdom, we affiliate with the Credit Service Association. The Credit Service Association is the UK trade association for the debt collection and debt purchase industry. It represents the views of its members with industry regulators and insists members adhere to a Code of Practice. 

Potential areas of risk

Our supply chain is limited to B2B Credit Insurance - Debt Collection. All suppliers are required to comply with all relevant regulatory and legislative obligations, including the provisions of the Modern Slavery Act 2015.

Our compliance protocols and operating policies

We operate a number of internal policies and procedures to ensure that we are conducting business in an ethical and transparent manner. These include:


Code of Business Conduct. This code explains the how we behave as an organisation and how we expect our employees and suppliers to act.


Sustainability Policy. This policy aims to integrate sustainability criteria in the supply chain, including social environmental, and governance aspects in the criteria to select suppliers.

Procurement Policy. This policy outlines the practices and procedures relating to all supply contracts, including the importance of selecting suppliers carefully, and in accordance with due diligence requirements, including corporate social responsibility.

Recruitment Policy. Atradius Collections operates a robust recruitment policy to safeguard against human trafficking or individuals forced to work against their will.

Speak up Procedure (Whistleblowing Policy). We operate a Whistleblowing Policy so that all employees know that they can raise concerns about how colleagues are treated, or practices within our business or supply chain, without fear of reprisals.

Modern Slavery Policy. This policy sets out the organisation’s position on modern slavery and explains how employees can identify risks and where they can go for help. Internal Management Assurance Assessments are conducted at least once a year to remind staff about modern slavery requirements.

Training

Atradius Collections provides modern slavery training to all employees, our processes for complying with modern slavery is included within our Code of Conduct Policy. All employees can access our policies and procedures relating to modern slavery through our internal company’s intranet. Employees are expected to report their concerns and management are expected to act upon them.

Monitoring Compliance

Atradius Collections has appropriate policies and procedures to ensure that no aspect of our business or supply chain is connected to any form of modern slavery. The Atradius Collections Modern Slavery Policy is reviewed annually to ensure that the controls in place continue to be appropriate.
