Job description

Within this dynamic, results driven and international environment we are looking for a Collector to join our business based in our Cardiff office for a temporary period of up to 6 months with responsibility for the recovery of monies owed to clients in respect of credit insured transactions, bonds and of uninsured debts placed for collection.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and driven individual to join us in this hands on and international environment.

Main responsibilities

  • Working as part of the UK & Ireland debt collection team, responsible for Recoveries (insured clients) & Collections (uninsured clients).

 

Key activities

  • Direct chasing of debtors via telephone as well as liaison with 3rd party debt collectors, legal representatives and/or administrators/receivers in order to successfully collect monies owed to clients in respect of credit insured transactions, bonds and of uninsured debts placed for collections.
  • Responsible for the improvement of collection processes and results; reduce time to collection; decrease operating expense and/or Schedules reminder calls or escalates process; including a final notification that outlines next step if payment is not received.
  • Responsible for managing a portfolio of debts, implementing the agreed processes and systems to achieve desired goals and results.
  • Owning and maintaining the day to day relationship with client, debtors and 3rd parties including negotiation over recommended action
  • Assess the cost effectiveness of taking legal action and prepare suitable cases for transfer to the in house legal team or external parties

 

 Job requirements

  • Some experience in debt collection, preferably within the business to business environment is desirable
  • Good communication skills, both on the telephone and in writing
  • Strong customer focus
  • Ability to prioritise daily caseload and schedule tasks for completion as appropriate
  • Sound judgment and ability to assess cost effectiveness of actions
  • Ability to assess the situation and identify key factors

Within this dynamic, results driven and international environment we are looking for a Regional Operations Team Leader to join our business based in our Chicago office. As Regional Operations Team Leader, you will have direct responsibility for the leadership of the Operations team in Chicago and you will co-ordinate the operational efforts across the region, (Mexico, Brazil, and Canada).  Reporting into the Country Manager – Americas your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Leading and guiding the Operations team USA
    • Responsible for Recoveries (insured clients) & Collections (uninsured clients).You will have overall responsibility for managing a portfolio of debts, implementing the agreed processes and systems to achieve desired goals and results
    • Effective management through people and through use of available data in order to maximise collected amounts and ensure service expectations are met.
    • To maintain optimum resource capacity, including flexible resource pool in order to effectively manage workload.You will have the ability to recognise whether there is a need to adjust capacity, focus or activities in order to meet the requirements of the business and optimise results through effective portfolio management.
    • Encourage an environment of continuous improvement and excellence through the proactive introduction of new tools and processes and ways of working within the team.You will innovate and bring ideas, applying creative thinking in order to drive improvements and implement solutions.
    • Responsible for effective management of the LDC network, ensuring efficiency and cost effectiveness
    • Develop and maintain excellent communications both verbal and written with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring that communication is clear, transparent and timely.
    • Provide pro-active and appropriate updates on Case / Customer / Portfolio level, ensuring co-operation with key internal Atradius stakeholders (such as Claims team, Account Managers) 
  • Regional Operations Co-ordination
    • Provide leadership and guidance for all Operations teams within the region to drive service delivery and act as the key point of contact within the Region for Operations related topics.
    • Ensuring that service delivery processes are implemented and respected, including monitoring of performance, assessment against key performance targets (collected amounts, case handling) and identifying and implementing improvements via the Regional Operational network and/or Regional Country Managers
    • Improve LDC network performance and service delivery

Job requirements

  • Previous experience working in the financial services industry, ideally in an international environment and within an operational function where you demonstrate sound judgement and ability to assess cost effectiveness of your actions.In addition, you should have a good understanding of Debt Collections and Legal services to apply your operational experience.
  • Proven ability to implement new processes and manage changes.You will also have thorough knowledge of debt collection techniques
  • Excellent leadership and management skills and will have a proven ability to inspire, coach and motivate others
  • Strong negotiation skills, using experience and knowledge to influence and implement key decisions within an international environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal in English. Additional relevant languages are beneficial (e.g. Spanish & Portuguese)
  • Customer orientated focus, and highly effective in optimizing processes.Project management skills or experience is beneficial
  • Enthusiastic, creative contributor, you will be pro-active in your approach and able to work under pressure, prioritise and organise your workload, multi-tasking as appropriate.
  • Strong IT skills in MS office packages, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.You will have experience working with multiple systems
  • Willingness to travel Internationally

Job description

As an Associate Collector, you will be responsible for the recovery of monies owed to clients in respect of credit insured transactions, bonds and of uninsured debts placed for collections.

As a Client Relations Advisor, you will be the first point of contact for the customer and will be actively involved in the management of customer portfolios. You will be responsible for revenue generation, risk management and will act as a key customer interface for the Company.

Within this dynamic, results driven and international learning environment we always look for Sales Managers to join the Atradius Collections Commercial Team in various locations. As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for acquiring, developing and maintaining of new and existing accounts.

  • On an ad-hoc basis be required to present to and visit both Atradius Credit Insurance Customers as well as Intermediaries and Brokers
