Job description

The role of SME Segment Manager will be focused on further growth and developing our SME segment globally via our E-commerce platform, Agora or direct.  In this role, you will be responsible for the success of the SME customer segment by increasing the exposure and usage of the platform via our key distribution channels. 

To become successful it is key to make use of commercial insights and influencing key internal stakeholders to successfully manage the whole process from start to finish.  This includes the gathering of business requirements translating these into benefits to make necessary system or process improvements. In this role you will have frequent contact with our internal IT and external partners to make these changes happen.  

By making the right decisions on solutions to develop, channels to capitalise and using your insights and previous experience you will identify new opportunities, services and partners.  Working closely with the Global channel manager you will share your knowledge to facilitate their success.

The SME Segment Manager will be responsible for developing their long-term business plan to detail how the SME segment can further support the growth and development of our business.

This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) located at the Atradius headquarters in Amsterdam.


Main responsibilities

  • Responsible for the overall SME development and distribution strategy via our commerce platform, Agora. You will take the lead in managing the different distribution channels, and prioritising and allocating appropriate time and resource linked to bottom line revenue, recognising the capacity of the platform and considering the budget vs revenue it will bring.

Technical Development of Agora

  • Manage continued development of Agora
  • Prioritising the requirements of the business, the capacity of the platform and the financial impact in order to support the continuous optimisation of Agora.
  • Lead the migration of existing customers onto the Agora platform
  • Implement additional products to be sold through the platform
  • Drive the geographical expansion of Agora through the Atradius Collections or partners  
  • Develop Agora to enable debt placements through internal and external partners
  • Create and devise new external services that can be sold through the Agora platform

Job requirements

  • Relevant Industry knowledge and experience gained within a Collections or Financial services environment is preferred
  • Experience with driving performance of a platform, product or service
  • Excellent communications skills both written and verbal, with ability to adapt your message for different audiences and to drive your objectives forward.
  • Graduate calibre or equivalent working  experience
  • Excellent organisation skills with the ability to prioritise, manage multiple projects and work well under pressure.
  • Developed ability to achieve deadlines, you must be able to multi-task and be prepared to work occasionally with few guidelines.
  • Results focused individual, with strong co-operation skills, who has the drive and energy to achieve concrete goals
  • Excellent English language skills both written and verbal

  • Assist in identifying opportunities with Atradius Credit Insurance for existing Insured Customer.Support the Atradius Credit Insurance Commercial teams and their clients in the understanding of Atradius Collections service capabilities
  • Support Broker Relationships and their clients in cooperation with Atradius Credit Insurance within the UK territory.

Job requirements

  • Previous experience working in the financial service industry, ideally in an international environment within a sales management function where you demonstrate abilities to build and maintain relationships with business partners.

Within this dynamic, results driven and international environment we are looking for a Collector to join our business based in our Cardiff office for a temporary period of up to 9 months with responsibility for the recovery of monies owed to clients in respect of credit insured transactions, bonds and of uninsured debts placed for collection.

Main responsibilities

  • Working as part of the UK & Ireland debt collection team, responsible for Recoveries (insured clients) & Collections (uninsured clients).

 

Key activities

  • Direct chasing of debtors via telephone as well as liaison with 3rd party debt collectors, legal representatives and/or administrators/receivers in order to successfully collect monies owed to clients in respect of credit insured transactions, bonds and of uninsured debts placed for collections.
  • Responsible for the improvement of collection processes and results; reduce time to collection; decrease operating expense and/or Schedules reminder calls or escalates process; including a final notification that outlines next step if payment is not received.
  • Responsible for managing a portfolio of debts, implementing the agreed processes and systems to achieve desired goals and results.
  • Owning and maintaining the day to day relationship with client, debtors and 3rd parties including negotiation over recommended action
  • Assess the cost effectiveness of taking legal action and prepare suitable cases for transfer to the in house legal team or external parties

  • Some experience in debt collection, preferably within the business to business environment is desirable

As a Client Relations Advisor, you will be the first point of contact for the customer and will be actively involved in the management of customer portfolios. You will be responsible for revenue generation, risk management and will act as a key customer interface for the Company.

  • Establish and maintain working relationships with prospective Key accounts and Channel accounts
  • Provide timely, accurate, competitive pricing on all completed prospect applications submitted for pricing and approval, while striving to maintain maximum profit margin.
  • Pursue and Close Sales and ensure attainment of company sales goals and profitability.
  • Prepare action plans and discuss with Country Manager for effective search of sales leads and prospects. Administering accounts and writing reports, e.g. Opportunity Plans.
  • Propose, present and discuss solutions with all levels within key account business.
  • Support Broker Relationships and their clients in cooperation with Atradius Credit Insurance.
  • On an ad-hoc basis be required to present to and visit both Atradius Credit Insurance Customers as well as Intermediaries and Brokers
  • Communicate new product / service developments to key client base.
  • Be actively involved in prospecting network events.
  • Provide timely feedback to senior management regarding performance

In addition to the relevant experience and commercial knowledge, the ideal candidate will have the following skill profile:

  • Good understanding and ability to work in a matrix driven cross functional environment.
  • Good understanding about clients’ market and competitors' products
  • Good negotiation skills and persuasiveness
  • Ability to understand business objectives and translate them into technical requirements and solutions.
  • Confidence presenting to large groups of people
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal in English other languages will also be advantageous.
  • Good organisational and time-management skills
  • To be self-motivated, able to work from own initiative and also able to work as part of a team
  • Excellent networking skills and desire to attend regular networking events
  • Fluent English speaker. Other languages are advantageous
