1. Website use

The information that Atradius collects and uses via this website may include:

  • any personal details that you submit such as your name, address, telephone number, email address, date of birth, or other information provided during registration for any Products or Services

  • your IP address (your device’s unique identification number when connecting to the internet), which we use to note your interest/visit to our websites
  • your subscriptions to any newsletters, email updates, country reports, updated trade or economic information, etc. made via the website.

2. Policy Underwriting

Atradius will need your information, and that of others you name on your policy, to offer quotations or renewal terms and manage your insurance policy. This includes underwriting and claims management, as well as anything else needed to support your relationship with Atradius.

3. Risk Underwriting

Atradius will need information about the buyers you trade with so that we can assess whether to offer Credit Insurance on them.

4. Other services

Atradius will need information in order to offer other Products and Services, such as but not limited to, debt collection.

In so doing, Atradius will combine information that you provide with other information we may hold about you from third parties.

We treat information in confidence and in compliance with applicable regulation and legislation.

Who we share information with

In using the information, Atradius may give some details to third parties such as other members of the Atradius group of companies, other insurers, claims adjusters, crime or fraud detection and prevention agencies, service providers, agents, reinsurers, regulatory authorities, dispute resolution organisations, professional advisors such as lawyers, recovery agents, any joint insured or co-insured party to any policy in which you are insured, or to other persons whom you authorise such as brokers or joint insured. We may also disclose the information to people authorised by you, such as a banker, financier or broker.

Where we may send your information

We may send your information, in confidence, for processing outside the European Economic Area. We shall ensure that appropriate organisational and technical measures are taken to protect your data.

Marketing

We may use your information to keep you informed by post, email, text message or other electronic means. We may send you details of Products and Services that we think may be of interest to you. If we do, you will be given the opportunity to opt out of being contacted for these purposes; or you can contact us at any time to opt out by sending an email to info@atradius.com. Atradius will not pass on your details to third parties for the purposes of the marketing of products or services offered by anyone other than Atradius.

Atradius will not disclose your personal information to any outside organisation without your consent

Information regarding you (such as name, address and phone number) will not be given or sold to any outside organisation for its use in marketing or solicitation without your prior consent. Your information may be shared with agents or contractors of Atradius only for the purpose of performing services on behalf of Atradius.

Your Rights

Alternatively you can write to the Data Protection Officer at the registered address of the Atradius branch within your jurisdiction. We shall take reasonable steps to confirm your identity prior to providing details of any personal information we may hold about you. We may a levy a small fee in providing information to you.

What else should I know about my privacy?

Third party internet sites and services accessible through this website have separate privacy and data collection practices, independent of us. Atradius has no responsibility or liability for these independent policies or actions. You are solely responsible for guarding your passwords or any account information. Please be careful and responsible whenever you are online. If you post personal information online that is accessible to the public, you may receive unsolicited messages from other parties in return. While we strive to protect your personal information, Atradius cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us, and you do so at your own risk.
